Job summary

Wayne UNC Health Care seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support licensed OT providers in delivering inpatient and outpatient rehab services. You will assist with treatment plans, monitor patient responses, and ensure accurate documentation and billing. The role includes supervision of technicians and potential teaching activities.

Experience with EMR (EPIC) and MS Office is preferred. Must have an associate degree from an AOTA‑approved OTA program and NC licensure eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an AOTA approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• State licensure or eligibility for NC licensure.
• Experience with diverse patient populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed OT in carrying out treatment plans for inpatients and outpatients.
• Observe patient responses and report necessary plan modifications to therapists.
• Complete documentation to meet regulatory requirements and track interventions.
• Maintain accurate charges and productivity for patient flow.
• Supervise Rehab Services Technicians in treatments where appropriate.
• Provide clinical instruction to students and participate in training sessions.
