Description
Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per OT Board regulations. Treat patients according to the physician's treatment plan. Assist the nursing department with training Restorative Aides. Communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans. Participate in in-service training programs for staff. Record evaluations, treatment notes, progress notes, recertification documentation, and treatment changes in accordance with the Occupational Therapy Board State Practice Act and other regulations. Instruct patients' families and nursing staff in maintenance and caregiver training in preparation for discharge. Participate in discharge planning. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area. Report equipment problems to ensure proper maintenance. Relate positively and effectively with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.

This position is non-supervisory.

Physical Demands
Frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, frequent reaching, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, and exerting force. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception with focus adjustment.
Work Environment
