Job summary

Concept Rehab, Inc. in Port Huron, MI is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapist-owned team. You will support OT-led interventions, help patients improve daily living activities, mobility, and independence, and document progress in care plans.

The role emphasizes collaboration with therapists and the interdisciplinary team, ongoing patient education, and compassionate, patient-focused care in a rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan OTA license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Previous skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an OT.
• Help patients improve daily living skills, mobility and independence.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and document progress.
• Collaborate with OT and interdisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and strategies.
