The Stepping Stones Group in Clovis, NM is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our full-time school-based team. You will provide direct OT services under supervision and help students build fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills for classroom success.

This role emphasizes collaboration with therapists, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams, with opportunities for professional development and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Must hold an OTA degree and be eligible for licensure in New Mexico.
• Experience with pediatric populations is preferred.
• School-based experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans under supervision of an OT.
• Provide direct OT services to students in individual and group settings.
• Support development of fine motor, visual-motor, sensory, self-care, and functional life skills.
• Document therapy sessions and progress accurately.
• Collaborate with therapists, teachers, families, and MDTs.
• Assist with classroom accommodations and adaptive equipment as appropriate.

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our full-time school-based team in Clovis, NM. This rewarding opportunity allows you to support students in developing the functional, motor, sensory, and self-care skills needed to succeed in the classroom and everyday activities.

Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will play an essential role in helping students achieve greater independence and participate successfully in their educational environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Active New Mexico PED Occupational Therapy Assistant license
• Current NBCOT certification preferred
• Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
• School-based experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings
• Support the development of fine motor, visual-motor, sensory, self-care, and functional life skills
• Document therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment outcomes accurately
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Assist with implementing classroom accommodations and therapeutic strategies
• Support the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology as appropriate
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
