Job summary

Rivetus is a specialized rehabilitation company serving the geriatric post-acute community. The OTA role is based around Canton, MI, with travel to nearby facilities and a standard Monday–Friday schedule.

The position emphasizes quality patient outcomes and adherence to current clinical standards. The Occupational Therapy Assistant will deliver treatments, document care, and collaborate with the therapy team to support discharge planning and ongoing patient education within skilled nursing

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited OTA program.
• State licensure as required by Michigan.
• Ability to assist with patient lifting within safe limits.
• Willingness to travel locally to facilities in the Canton area.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments per established plan under supervision.
• Document and maintain medical records accurately and in compliance with guidelines.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient/family instruction.
• Supervise students and volunteers as needed.

Lilley Road, Canton, MI 48187. This role requires you to travel locally to our facilities located around the Canton area.Travel UP TO 30 miles of your home ONLY!!Schedule: Full-Time: Monday- Friday (Flexibility for Full-Time or Part-Time)Pay: Up to $35/hourGeneral Summary:Provides occupational therapy treatment to patients according to the established treatment plan under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Contributes to the development, implementation of, and progression of patient treatment and modifies treatment as necessary. Participates in patent care conferences and program development. Completes appropriate documentation and adheres to policies, procedures and current standards of clinical practice.Role Summary:Provides occupational therapy treatments consistent with the professional and ethical standards of the A.O.T.A. for the Occupational Therapist Assistant.Provides documentation to maintain quality of the medical record as it relates to accuracy, continuity of care and reimbursement guidelines.Coordinates with other disciplines for effective total patient care.Assures delivery of quality care.Participates in the discharge planning process to insure continued patient care as needed and provide patient and family instruction.Performs all the duties and responsibilities of an OTA.Contributes to a team philosophy within the department and the company and promotes the same among staff.Delegates work assignments, responsibilities, and patients to support staff as needed.Supervises students and volunteers.Represents the Occupational Therapy Department to family, visitors, and personnel and attends care conferences as requested.Effectively communicates with department staff, company personnel, patients and families and department head.Secures equipment for patients and department supplies as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant programLicensure as required by the State of MIchiganSkills and Abilities:Ability to exercise professional judgement and initiative when analyzing problems and recommending solutions.Initiative and flexibility in the work environment.Ability to react effectively to the needs of patients and their families.Physical Ability to bend, position, transfer and lift patients weighing from 80 pounds to over 300 pounds, without restriction, utilizing lifting devices clinically recommended for the patient.Employee Benefits:Competitive PayAffordable Medical coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield MI.401k Eligibility & matching after 3 months of service.Holiday PayReimbursement for Professional Licensure and CEU Credits.
