Job summary

Brooks Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to closely collaborate with the supervising OT in an inpatient hospital setting in Phoenix, AZ. You will help implement patient-centered treatment plans, perform skilled interventions, and support discharge planning with family education.

The position prioritizes effective communication with the rehabilitation team, physicians and families, while maintaining accurate documentation and meeting productivity goals.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and clinical skills.
• Current hands-on Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of Florida.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the supervising Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, abilities, and preferences.
• Provides skilled occupational therapy interventions utilizing appropriate therapeutic techniques and activities.
• Monitors and communicates patient progress and changes to assist with treatment modifications and discharge planning.
