Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and the Occupational Therapist; assist in screening and initial evaluations as appropriate.
• Implement treatment for assigned patients in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Comply with state and federal guidelines regarding accurate and timely documentation and billing.
• Establish and maintain effective patient-centered interactions with patients, interdisciplinary team members, and facility staff.
• Provide direct supervision to rehabilitation technicians during group and individual treatment.
• Participate in utilization review, case management, care conferences, and administrative meetings as directed by the occupational therapist.
• Maintain awareness of changes in patient conditions and communicate patient progress in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational, facility, and patient information.

Education

Graduation of an accredited OTA program

Valid state Occupational Therapy Assistant license
