Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and Occupation Therapist; assist in screening and input to initial evaluations.
• Implement treatment for assigned patients in accordance with the plan of care.
• Comply with state and federal guidelines regarding documentation and billing.
• Establish and maintain effective patient-centered interactions with patients and staff.
• Provide direct supervision to rehabilitation technicians during group and individual treatment.
• Participate in utilization review, case management, and care conferences as directed by the OT.
• Communicate patient progress in a timely manner and maintain confidentiality.
• Conduct oneself ethically, legally, and professionally and perform other duties as assigned.
