Job summary

Memphis Convalescent Center in Texas is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team, providing person-centered care to residents to improve independence and quality of life.

You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, document thoroughly, participate in meetings, and support families and caregivers. New graduates welcome; SNF/LTC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Texas OT Assistant license (OTA) is required.
• COTA credential required and active in good standing.
• Experience in SNF or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents under OT supervision.
• Provide skilled OT services per physician orders.
• Respond to service requests and relay info to the OT.
• Deliver treatments per the plan of care and document thoroughly.

Join Our Team as a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist
• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Or Long-term Care Experience Preferred
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices
• Experience With Net Health Electronic Documentation System Preferred
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
