Butler Hospital seeks a motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant to support behavioral health services under OT supervision. You will apply evidence-based practice, maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA, and follow AOTA standards and hospital policy. You will assist in standard assessments and accurately document evaluations and interventions.
The full-time position features a 40/80 schedule (Days) with collaboration across the treatment team and ongoing education for students and staff.
Fundamentals of Practice: Maintains ethical practice in accordance with AOTA standards Adheres to HIPAA regulations and maintains patient confidentiality Under supervision of OT, utilizes Evidence Based Practice to inform clinical decisions Adheres to and applies concepts from the OT Practice Frameworks Demonstrates knowledge of OT Theory Follows all hospital policies and procedures Screening & Standard Evaluation: Aware of incoming consultations/assessments; responds to requests within 24 hours Demonstrates service competency in the administration of standard assessments Under supervision of OT, makes appropriate recommendations and communicates to treatment team Accurately documents the evaluation according to Butler Hospital policy
