Job summary

Care New England Health System in Rhode Island is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to work with a multidisciplinary team. The role involves assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and promoting independence and quality of life for patients.

You will collaborate with patients, families, and other professionals, monitor progress, document findings, and educate families on strategies to sustain gains at home. RI licensure and AOTA certification required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Rhode Island licensure to practice.
• Certification as a Registered Occupational Therapist by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

Responsibilities

• Create and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to patients' needs, focusing on cognitive, fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills.

Job Summary

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist plays a crucial role in helping individuals regain, develop, or enhance their functional independence and quality of life. The incumbent conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, implements interventions, and collaborating with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Create and implement evidence-based treatment plans that are tailored to the needs of the patients, with an emphasis on improving the Patients' cognitive, fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to establish personalized treatment goals and plans
• Utilizes evidence based practice to select OT treatment appropriate to the needs of the patient
• Provides role as patient advocate through his/ /her own role modeling of standards of performance and by communicating and meeting patients needs for service
• Routinely monitor and evaluate patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about strategies to facilitate continued progress and maintain functional gains at home and in various external settings.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant records in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines in all aspects of practice.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Minimum of 1 Year Experience

Rhode Island licensure
Certification as a Registered Occupational Therapist by the American Occupational Therapy Association
