Care New England seeks an Occupational Therapist to collaborate with unit staff and the interdisciplinary team to plan, coordinate, and implement group programming that meets patients' treatment needs. The OT will work with physicians to determine necessary evaluations and provide individual treatment as needed.
Responsibilities include evaluating needs, planning therapeutic activities, documenting progress, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards in both inpatient and outpatient areas.
The Occupational Therapist works in collaboration with unit staff and the inter-disciplinary treatment team to plan, coordinate and implement the group programming in order to meet the treatment needs of the patients. The Occupational Therapist collaborates with the treating physician and interdisciplinary treatment team in determining the appropriate evaluations needed for the patient. The Occupational Therapist provides individual treatment as needed
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree Preferred
Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 Years
Licenses:Current RI licensure and NBCOT certification
Certifications:Current RI licensure and NBCOT certification
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of professional principles, practices, and standards related to the position.
Skill in assessment, communication, and documentation.
Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and other team members.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
Basic computer skills.
