Job summary

Bronte Health and Rehab Center seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to support residents under the direction of a registered OT. You will help residents regain motor skills and complete daily activities, contributing to high-quality care in a skilled nursing environment.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with the OT and nursing staff to optimize therapy outcomes.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted license in your therapy discipline in the state.
• Meet educational requirements of your licensure requirements.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
• Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the practice of occupational therapy under the supervision of a licensed OT.
• Implement the treatment plan per OT guidelines and state regulations.
• Record residents' progress and request reexaminations when needed.
• Collaborate with the OT and care team to support residents’ therapy goals.
• Interview residents to assess health status and recovery rate.
• Document therapy services in the resident's medical record.
