Job summary

You will help residents regain motor skills, perform daily activities, and collaborate with nursing staff to coordinate therapy sessions while adhering to state guidelines.

This role requires an unrestricted Texas OTA license, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to high-quality, resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted license in Texas for the OTA discipline.
• Educational requirements for licensure as an OTA.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
• Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations and long-term care guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in occupational therapy under the supervision of an OT.
• Implement the treatment plan per guidelines and applicable laws.
• Record progress and request reexaminations when needed.
• Document therapy services in the resident medical record.
• Coordinate therapy sessions with facility nursing staff.
• Ensure equipment is stored, used, and sanitized properly.
• Participate in rehab team meetings and discharge planning.
• Adhere to Texas OT Practice Act guidelines.
