Job summary

Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed OT.

The role involves sustaining positive interactions with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team while adhering to relevant regulations and organizational guidelines. The OTA will contribute to treatment plans, supervise rehabilitation technicians when required, and participate in case management and care conferences.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation and the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist in screening and contributing to initial evaluations.
• Implement treatment per established plan of care.
• Document accurately and timely per guidelines.
• Supervise rehabilitation technicians as needed.
• Participate in utilization review and care conferences.
• Monitor patient conditions and progress; maintain confidentiality.
