Job summary

Rehab in Motion, an affiliate of Rehab Without Walls, seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support therapists in delivering personalized rehabilitation programs. You will implement interventions, guide therapy exercises, and help track patient progress in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Candidates should have OTA degree, state certification, CPR, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds. New grads welcome; join a compassionate team serving older adults in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program.
• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification in state of practice.
• Current Live CPR Certification.
• Two-step TB skin test required.
• Proof of Auto Insurance.
• Knowledge of evidence based therapy interventions.
• Familiarity with assisted living, independent living, geriatrics and/or home health.
• New grads encouraged to apply.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures.
• Duties require fine motor skills,visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods.
• Additional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Occupational Therapist in the implementation of treatment intervention
• Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients; strength, mobility and function.
• Providing training to individuals and any others involved in their rehabilitation, and documenting results of the training
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Supporting individuals' plan of treatment by documenting and reporting status changes to the multi-disciplinary team members as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned
