Job summary

Ridge Valley Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehab team on a PRN basis. Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will help implement care plans and guide residents toward independence.

You will deliver therapeutic activities, document progress, and collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families. This role supports our mission to promote mobility, recovery, and quality of life for

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state license/registration as a COTA.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient movement.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care and exercises based on treatment plans created by the OT.
• Assist residents with activities that support daily living and independence
• Accurately document therapy sessions and track patient progress
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and family members to support care goals
• Educate residents, families, and staff on at-home and restorative programs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement programs
• Float to nearby facilities if needed based on patient needs

Are you a compassionate and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant ready to make a meaningful impact? RidgeValley is seeking a PRNCOTA to join our rehab team and support residents on their journey to independence and improved quality of life

Position Summary:

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you’ll work closely under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to help implement care plans, guide residents through therapeutic activities, and promote recovery and mobility in a supportive long-term care setting.

Responsibilities:
