Concept Rehab is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) for a full-time role in Woodhaven, Michigan. The OTA will provide individualized therapy in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting, under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, helping residents improve daily living skills, documenting progress, and collaborating with nursing staff to ensure resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Michigan OTA license in good standing is required.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents with improving strength, coordination, balance, mobility, and functional independence.

• Help residents develop or regain skills needed for activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, bathing, and self-care.
• Monitor resident responses to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising OT.
• Document treatment sessions, resident progress, and other clinical information accurately.
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment, and safety strategies.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other rehabilitation professionals to support resident-centered care.
• Follow facility procedures and applicable clinical and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
