Job summary

Packers Staffing in Antigo, WI is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our partner facility. You will plan, organize, develop, and direct OT services to ensure high-quality resident care in compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine best intervention per scope of practice.
• Implement treatment plans and follow established goals.
• Communicate evaluation findings to residents, families, and interdisciplinary team.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules with the team.
• Document and bill occupational therapy services per plan of care.
• Perform other duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards.

Job description

Packers Staffing is seeking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our partner facility. As a COTA you will be responsible to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Location: Antigo, WI

Status: Full-Time FT with flexible scheduling or Contract

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice
• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short and long term goals and methods to achieve goals based off of the established plan of care by supervising therapist
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated

Education & Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy
• WI OTA licensure
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
