Madison Health and Rehab in Madison, WI is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. You will plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in our facility to ensure residents receive high-quality care.

This part-time/PRN role requires WI OTA licensure and an Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy, with ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine best intervention per scope of practice
• Follow treatment plans with short and long-term goals
• Communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans to residents and families
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Document and bill occupational therapy services per CMS standards
• Perform other duties to effectively treat patients
• Adhere to CMS documentation standards daily

Job description

Madison Health and Rehab is seeking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team in Madison, WI. As a COTA you will be responsible to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Status: Part-Time PT or Per Diem PRN

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice

• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short and long term goals and methods to achieve goals based off of the established plan of care by supervising therapist

• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members

• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members

• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services

• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients

• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated

Education & Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy

• WI OTA licensure

• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
