Job summary

The Cypress Ridge Care Center is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our therapy department in a secure SNF setting. Under the supervision of a licensed OT, you will implement interventions to promote residents' independence, mobility, and quality of life.

You will carry out treatment plans, educate residents and caregivers, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support goals.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of California.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative care team.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic activities to improve ADLs, functional mobility, strength, and coordination.
• Document resident progress in accordance with center policies and regulatory requirements.
• Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and home programs.
• Assist with training in the use of adaptive equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and encouraging therapy environment.
