Job summary

Autumn Care of Biscoe is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to help restore patients to optimal function in a skilled nursing facility. You will educate patients, guide independent exercises, and support discharge planning under the supervision of the OT and DOR.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited college.
• Current and valid license as Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).

Responsibilities

• Instruct patient in maintenance of function after discharge through education and independent exercise.
• Work under supervision of OT and Director of Rehabilitation (DOR).

Position Summary

The primary function of your job return patient to optimal physical function and facilitate the achievement of patient, physician, and therapy goals within a SNF setting. Instruct the patient in maintaining achieved level of function after discharge through education, independent exercise program, and appropriate activity modification, under the supervision of the OT and DOR.

Education/Qualifications

• Employee must hold an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college.
• Must hold a current and valid license granted from the state of employment.
• Current and valid OTA license granted from state of employment.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including service delivery software and the electronic health record software.
