Responsibilities

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Summary

Provide Occupational Therapy and related services under the supervision of a licensed OT, maintaining positive interactions with patients, facilities, and clients, aligned with occupational therapy principles and Reliant guidelines. Ensure quality patient care, including treatment planning, supervision of Rehab Techs, and case management. Maintain professional conduct and compliance with regulations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Optimize patients' functional abilities under OT supervision
  • Develop and enhance the occupational therapy assistant program
  • Improve clinical and management skills through interaction and continuing education
  • Maintain valid state license and stay informed on relevant issues
  • Understand billing, treatment guidelines, and delivery modes, providing quality, compliant care
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols
  • Communicate effectively in English through instructions, reports, and documentation
