Pleasant Manor Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Waxahachie, TX is seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house therapy team. We are a post-acute care facility with long-term, short-term care, and geriatric outpatient services.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care; develop and implement care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments in compliance with standards.
• Support patient mobility and safety with standing, walking, lifting, transferring, and repositioning as needed.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan (manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, wound care).
• Provide counseling to patients and families and generate discharge summaries per regulatory requirements.

Pleasant Manor Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Waxahachie, TX, is currently seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house therapy team. We are a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric outpatient services provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy Assistant license is required.
• Open to Occupational Therapy Assistant at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
