Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support rehabilitative activities as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will assist therapists, prepare adaptive equipment, and help coordinate patient care to promote independence and progress toward goals.

Applicants must graduate from an accredited OTA program, hold SC licensure and NBCOT registration, and maintain current BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited OTA program.
  • Licensure as an OTA by the South Carolina Board and NBCOT registration.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required before seeing patients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepares adaptive equipment used during treatment and supports patient activities.
  • Documents therapeutic activities and details of patients progress.
Education

Graduate from an accredited school for Occupational Therapy Assistants is required.

Certification / Licensure
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant by the South Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy and registration with the National Board for certification in Occupational Therapy.
