Job summary

Napahe in Topeka, KS is hiring a day shift, full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join the care team at the KU Health System St. Francis Campus.

Deliver care per OT plans, supervise clinical support staff, and promote therapy services across the organization. Active Kansas OTA license is required, along with CPR certification. BLS must be obtained within 14 days of hire.

Preferred experience in medical or rehabilitation settings is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Performs delivery of care following occupational therapy plans of care, and assures delivery of prescribed care to assigned patients consistent with standards of practice defined by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the occupational therapy practice act in the State of Kansas.
• Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
• Promotes occupational therapy services and professional development throughout the organization and community.
• Reports to the assigned leader of department.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Active Occupational Therapy Assistant license in State of Kansas.
• CPR certification.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Previous medical setting or rehabilitation setting experience.
