Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital, Stevens Point, WI is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant for acute care coverage. The role works closely with an Occupational Therapist in inpatient settings, including acute care, swing bed, and SNF, to execute patient care plans.

Qualified candidates will be OTA program graduates with Wisconsin licensure and BLS certification (or within 90 days of hire). This full-time (.9 FTE) position offers strong work-life balance and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Previous OTA experience is beneficial.
• Current Wisconsin licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering occupational therapy under supervision to carry out patient care plans.
• Inpatient coverage across acute hospital, swing bed, and SNF settings.
• Participate in care planning, documentation, and patient positioning as directed.

Job Description

The Occupational Therapy Assistant works directly with one Occupational Therapist to cover all settings to carry out treatment plan of patient care. This is an In-Patient position to include acute hospital, swing bed, and SNF settings with a wide variety of diagnoses and patient positions.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of occupational therapy standards and practices normally acquired through graduation of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.


• Previous experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant beneficial.


• Current Wisconsin licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant required.


• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
