Job summary

Flagship Therapy is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant for Spencer Post Acute in Spencer, IA. The OTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to deliver rehabilitative services and support residents’ recovery in a post-acute setting.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited OTA program with an active state license. All levels of experience are welcome to apply, with a strong commitment to quality patient care and teamwork within the in-house rehab program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current and active State license/registration where applicable.
• Candidates with all levels of experience are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments.
• Report treatment outcomes’ effectiveness to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Spencer Post Acute in Spencer, IA, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders, following regulatory and clinical standards under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices, under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Report treatment outcomes' effectiveness to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
