Education/Experience:

Responsibilities

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Summary: Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT, maintaining positive interactions with facilities and clients, and adhering to all regulations and guidelines. Deliver quality patient care, including ongoing treatment, supervision of rehab techs (if required), and case management. Uphold professional conduct reflecting Reliant Rehabilitation’s commitment to quality and service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in optimizing patients' functional abilities under the supervision of a licensed OT.
  • Develop and strengthen the occupational therapy assistant program.
  • Enhance your skills through collaboration, self-study, and continuing education.
  • Maintain valid state licensure and stay informed about professional and healthcare environment issues.
  • Understand billing, treatment guidelines, and delivery models to provide compliant, effective care.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols within facilities.
  • Communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and speaking instructions, reports, and documentation.
