Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide prescribed therapeutic services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will help restore and prevent disability for clients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary disorders.

Work is performed per hospital policy and regulatory requirements. Qualifications include an accredited Associate Degree (COTA), current state OT certification, and BCLS certification; NBCOT/AOTA/OTAC

Qualifications

• Association Degree (COTA) from an accredited program.
• Current state Occupational Therapy certification.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides prescribed therapeutic services under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist to restore and prevent disability for clients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Performs responsibilities in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements including Title 22 Sections 70517 & 70519.

Within scope of practice and under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist, provides prescribed therapeutic services in order to restore and prevent disability for clients, or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, and cardiopulmonary disorders. Performs responsibilities in accordance with departmental and Hospital policies, state and federal regulatory requirements: Title 22 Section 70517, 70519.

Pay Transparency

Olympia Fields Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $34.16. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
