Job summary

Olympia Transitional Care in Olympia, WA seeks a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join an in-house rehab program. You will work under an Occupational Therapist to deliver rehabilitative care for geriatric patients and participate in a stable therapy team focused on post-acute recovery.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited OTA program with an active state license. All experience levels are welcome; benefits include medical, dental and vision, 401k, PTO, CEUs, and tuition

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices under supervision.
• Assess patient progress and adapt treatments with the supervising Occupational Therapist as required.
• Report treatment outcomes to the supervising OT.

Olympia Transitional Care in Olympia, WA, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a full time Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders, following regulatory and clinical standards under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices, under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Report treatment outcomes' effectiveness to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
