Job summary

The Health Center at Research Park in Huntsville, AL is hiring a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab program. You will provide rehabilitative, skilled treatments under OT supervision, perform ADL retraining and therapeutic activities, and monitor patient progress to adjust care accordingly.

We welcome candidates at all experience levels and value collaborative, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Hold a current and active State license/registration where applicable.
• Candidates with all levels of experience are welcome.

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients under Occupational Therapist supervision.

RESEARCH PARK - HUNTSVILLE, AL

The Health Center at Research Park is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders, following regulatory and clinical standards under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices, under Occupational Therapist supervision.
• Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• Report treatment outcomes' effectiveness to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
