Job summary

NOVO Rehabilitation seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Blackwell, OK to join our faith-based therapy team serving the geriatric population. You will work under the supervising Occupational Therapist to deliver skilled OT services and help residents achieve greater independence with ADL/IADL tasks.

Responsibilities include documenting progress and coordinating with the OT to ensure goals reflect patient needs and Medicare guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree as Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• NBCOT COTA exam pass.
• Active OK licensure as COTA.
• Maintain CEU requirements to stay in good standing.
• Valid driver’s license and a vehicle with insurance as per state requirements.
• Respectful, open communication with team members, clients, and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the evaluating Occupational Therapist to provide skilled treatment and increase independence with ADL/IADL.
• Provide occupational therapy services to residents per established standards and procedures.
• Coordinate with the licensed Occupational Therapist to align goals with patient needs and safety.
• Implement the care plan to address short/long-term goals under supervision.
• Complete daily treatment notes, progress notes, and discharges to justify skilled necessity and Medicare compliance.
