Job summary

Reno Orthopedic Center (ROC) is seeking an Occupational Therapy Aide (20-29 hours) to support patient care at our Carson City location. Responsibilities include preparing treatment areas, greeting patients, and assisting therapists while following safety protocols.

A high school diploma and customer-service experience are required, with outpatient orthopedic experience preferred. This role offers a part-time schedule and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment areas and equipment before and after patient appointments.
• Greet patients and direct them to the appropriate treatment area.

• Demonstrate proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
• Ensure patient safety and communicate any concerns to the therapist.
• Document activities, exercises, and outcomes in the patient’s EMR as directed.
• Maintain adequate clinic supplies and linens.

What will you do in this role?

• Prepare treatment areas and equipment before and after patient appointments, including cleaning and maintaining safety;
• Greet patient and direct them to the appropriate treatment area.
• Assist therapist with the non-treatment aspects of therapy services following universal precautions.
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment and exercise routines.
• Ensure patient safety at all times, noting any risk factors and communicating with the therapist regarding patient issues or concerns.
• Document activities, exercises, and outcomes as directed by the therapist in patient’s electronic medical record.
• Maintain adequate levels of clinic supplies and linens.

Requirements

Certifications/Education:

• High School Diploma/GED;

Experience:

• Providing customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
