Job summary

Job Summary

Florida Gulf Coast University is a comprehensive university dedicated to quality education, research, and service. Assignments will include teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, as applicable. Teaching assignments may be on the main campus or at off‑campus sites within our region. Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor.

Typical Duties
  • Teach in the ACOTE-accredited Master of Occupational Therapy program, including classroom and lab instruction in a traditional, in-person format.
  • Perform grading and testing.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy (OTD/PhD) or related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation.
  • Licensed occupational therapist in the State of Florida.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation, board certification.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy content expertise.
  • Promote a common purpose consistent with stated university goals and demonstrate a commitment to students and the learning environment.
  • Possess the knowledge of general written standards and procedures utilized, and have the ability to read, interpret, and follow procedural and policy manuals related to the job tasks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to respond to supervision, guidance and direction in a positive, receptive manner and in accordance with stated policies.
  • Provide quality customer service by creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • Present a professional image in words, actions, and attire.
