Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a per diem Occupational Therapist to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility, with weekend hours at Beth Abraham Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Bronx, NY.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Current New York State OT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions and develop rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve residents’ pain using exercises, hands-on therapy and stretching.
• Help residents through tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence and protect facility by keeping information confidential.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members and contribute to team effort.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program

Current New York State OT License

Duties of an exceptional therapist include:
