Job summary

Methodist Hospitals is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity impairments and ADL limitations due to trauma, surgery, or illness. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans and educate patients and families to maximize independence.

You will assess function across all ages, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and supervise COTA and OT students as needed, ensuring safe, compassionate care aligned with hospital standards.

Responsibilities

• Designs and executes treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Documents assessments and interventions accurately and timely.
• Educates patients and family members.
• Evaluates patients' upper extremity function and ADLs performance.
• Participates in multidisciplinary meetings and case reviews.
• Supervises COTA as needed.
• Supervises OT and COTA students as needed.
