Job summary

UMass Memorial Health on the Worcester Campus seeks a per diem Occupational Therapist for on-site support. Evaluations, treatment planning, and restorative therapy will be provided to diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and adults, with a focus on independence and functional restoration.

Responsibilities include patient evaluations, care planning, documentation for billing, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent post-degree program.
• Successful completion of AOTA certification exam or eligibility for next sitting.
• Current MA state license as Occupational Therapist required.

Responsibilities

• Administers therapy evaluations and develops treatment plans for patients across age groups.
• Analyzes data, assesses functional ability, and creates a plan of care with physician input.
• Documents care in medical records to support billing and departmental statistics.
• Educates patients and families; participates in discharge planning and team meetings.
• Delegates caseload to staff as appropriate and supervises performance to ensure quality of care.
