Job summary

Cook Children’s seeks an Occupational Therapist for the Fort Worth Medical Center to deliver skilled care to medically complex infants and children. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, use evidenced-based practice, and focus on patient and family-centered care.

The role requires a degree in Occupational Therapy, BLS within 30 days, and state licensure or eligibility; experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomies is preferred. This is a full-time day shift position.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent care to patients and families based on identified needs.
• Deliver care with a team-oriented approach and sound clinical judgment.
• Assess and implement direct occupational therapy for musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, neurological, respiratory, developmental and pain disorders.
• Experience with medically complex infants/children, tracheostomies and ventilators preferred
