Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (IDFPR) required.
• BLS within 30 days - AHA.
• 1+ years of experience in OT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with safe body mechanics.
• Designs and adjusts a plan of care with goals, treatment, and discharge planning.
• Educates patients, families and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine OT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs examinations and uses reliable assessment methods.
• Screens patients to determine need for further therapy services.
• Documents evaluations and plans of care according to policy.
• Completes annual education for HIP/Joint Replacement program when applicable.
• Evaluates impairments related to upper extremity function and defines recovery goals.
• Completes daily documentation and therapy EMR entries.
• Communicates progress and recommendations to referring providers.
