Job summary

The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients of all ages, serving as a role model and clinical resource for staff and students. This position qualifies for a sign-on bonus and is based in Urbana, IL within the Carle Health system.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy, be licensed in Illinois, and demonstrate safety, education, and documentation practices consistent with department policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and licensure as an OT in Illinois.
• Active license with IDFPR and ability to perform patient transfers with assistance.
• Commitment to safe body mechanics and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate clinical findings to determine OT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Perform examinations with valid methods relevant to the chief complaint.
• Screen patients to determine need for further therapy services.
• Educate patients, families, and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Document evaluations, plans of care, and patient responses
• Coordinate with staff and students as a clinical resource.
