Job summary

Mercy Hospital Logan County is hiring an Occupational Therapist for full-time, daytime hours in Kentucky. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available to qualifying candidates, with opportunities to grow within a supportive, mission-driven health system.

The OT provides patient care by organizing and conducting prescribed programs, practicing within state rules, and supporting department initiatives and projects to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current OT license or eligibility within the hiring state; may work under a temporary license up to 90 days.
• Experience: None required.
• Current BLS certification (can be provided by Mercy as part of training after starting).
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
• Preferred Certifications: National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed OT programs.
• Practice within the State Practice Act and NB governing bodies in the state of practice.
• Promote growth and development of department by assisting in special projects and coordinating activities in patient care programs.
