Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a part-time role across North Chicago and Waukegan schools. The position supports K–8 students on two to three urban campuses, offering flexible scheduling and meaningful clinical engagement.

Candidates should have a master’s in OT, at least three years in school settings, Illinois licensure/IDFPR, and strong collaboration skills to work with teachers, families, and staff.

  • Provide resources and training to teachers and families for generalization of skills.

Job description

Step into a fulfilling part-time opportunity supporting K-8 students as a skilled Occupational Therapist across multiple campus locations in the North Chicago and Waukegan areas. Your work will have a significant impact, providing essential therapy to young learners across two to three urban campuses, fostering their growth and developing their independence in the educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience specifically within school settings.
  • Current occupational therapy license in the state and registration with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR).
  • Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff.
  • Organizational skills and self-motivation for managing services across multiple campuses.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in grades K-8, adapting plans to individual needs.
  • Assess student performance and develop intervention plans that support academic and functional achievements.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation, including evaluations and progress notes, in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute to team-based educational planning.
  • Provide resources and training to teachers and families to promote generalization of skills in the classroom and at home.
