Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a contract role supporting students in a diverse school setting near Elgin, IL. This full-time itinerant position covers multiple sites from elementary to high school, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will travel between campuses, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain thorough documentation of services. Compensation ranges from $30.00 to $55.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Illinois OT license (IDFPR).
• Active ISBE Educator license required.
• School-based OT experience preferred.
• Fingerprinting is required as part of credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct therapy services to students.
• Travel between assigned schools within the district.
• Collaborate with special education teams, teachers and families to implement IEPs.
• Maintain thorough, compliant documentation for all services.
• Participate in IEP meetings and progress monitoring.
• Support students in developing fine and gross motor skills and independence.

Job description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as an Occupational Therapist throughout a diverse school setting near Elgin, IL. This full-time, itinerant position covers multiple school sites, including elementary, middle, and high schools. Throughout the academic year, youll have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and positively impact students from Pre-K up to age 22 in various educational environments.

Qualifications Desired:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Active Educator License from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Previous school-based OT experience is preferred
• Comfortable handling a varied caseload and adapting to different school environments
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Must complete fingerprinting as part of credentialing requirements

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy services to students with a range of abilities and needs
• Travel between assigned schools within the district, adhering to each campuss start and end times
• Work closely with special education teams, teachers, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Maintain thorough, compliant documentation for all services provided
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student assessments, goal-setting, and progress monitoring
• Support students development of fine/gross motor skills, functional independence, and participation in daily school activities
