Broken Arrow, Oklahoma | Part-Time | 2026-2027 School Year | On-Site

About Us

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for a part-time, school-based opportunity in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for the 2026-2027 school year. If you enjoy working with children, collaborating with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams, and helping students develop the skills they need to participate successfully in their educational environment, this could be a great fit. You'll work with students in Pre-K through 12th grade, with support from both the district and the TheraPeds team.

Position Details
  • Full-time: 4-8 hours per week
  • School year: 2026-2027, August through May
  • Grades: Pre-K-12
  • Setting: On-site, in-person
  • Pay: $65-$70/hour, based on experience and employment arrangement
  • Guaranteed hours, including designated documentation, planning, and administrative time
  • Manageable caseload
  • Support from both the school district and TheraPeds Partners
What You'll Do

As a school-based Occupational Therapist, you'll evaluate and support students whose fine-motor, visual-motor, sensory-motor, self-care, regulation, and other functional needs affect their ability to access and participate successfully in their educational environment.

Your responsibilities may include:
  • Providing direct occupational therapy services to students individually, in small groups, and within classroom environments
  • Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
  • Developing measurable, educationally relevant IEP goals based on evaluation results and student needs
  • Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans
  • Providing consultation and classroom-based support to teachers, special education staff, and other school professionals
  • Addressing fine-motor, visual-motor, sensory-motor, self-care, regulation, positioning, and functional school participation needs
  • Identifying and analyzing areas of developmental and sensory-motor dysfunction that may affect educational performance
  • Monitoring student progress and collecting data to measure outcomes and guide intervention
  • Completing timely and accurate evaluations, progress reports, IEP documentation, and other required records
  • Participating in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and student-support meetings
  • Providing case management for assigned students, as applicable to the position
  • Collaborating with teachers, special education professionals, families, administrators, therapists, and other members of the educational team
  • Recommending appropriate accommodations, modifications, adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental supports within the OT scope of practice
  • Providing education and consultation to school teams and families regarding strategies that support student participation and independence
  • Maintaining confidentiality and following applicable professional standards, district policies, and state and federal requirements
Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's, Master's, OTD, or PhD degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Occupational Therapy program, as applicable to the candidate's pathway to professional licensure
  • Current NBCOT certification
  • Active or eligible for Oklahoma Occupational Therapist licensure
  • Appropriate educational credentialing or authorization, if required for the specific school assignment
  • Experience working with children or school-aged students
  • School-based or pediatric Occupational Therapy experience preferred
  • Strong foundation in sensory integration and sensory processing, with the ability to identify and analyze developmental and sensory-motor needs
  • Knowledge of fine-motor, visual-motor, self-care, regulation, positioning, and functional participation within educational environments
  • Understanding of IEPs, IDEA, special education processes, and educationally relevant Occupational Therapy services
  • Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and intervention-planning skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficient in the use of technology for documentation, communication, and educational purposes
  • Ability to successfully complete required fingerprinting and background clearances
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to exercise a high level of tact, discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment in internal and external communications
Physical Requirements

School-based Occupational Therapy is active and hands-on. The Occupational Therapist must be able to safely participate with students in a variety of school environments and activities. Physical responsibilities may include sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, transitioning to and from the floor, and lifting or assisting with students, materials, or therapeutic equipment as appropriate to the position. All responsibilities will be performed in accordance with assigned duties, district safety requirements, and applicable accommodations.
