Job summary

AZ Therapy Services for Kids LLC is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our school-based program in Nevada. The role involves collaborating with school personnel, conducting evaluations of motor skills and sensory processing, and providing direct OT services to students, both individually and in groups.

Applicants must hold a Nevada OT license and a Nevada Fingerprint Clearance Card, with pediatric fieldwork experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience preferred (fieldwork acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school staff and IEP teams to develop individualized treatment plans and goals for students.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
• Provide direct OT services to students, individually and in groups, addressing sensory integration, fine motor skills, visual-motor coordination, and self-care.
• Adapt classroom environments, materials, and equipment to promote accessibility and participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other professionals.
• Document progress and plans according to agency and school guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goals and accommodations.
• Stay up to date on current research and evidence-based practices in school-based OT.

Occupational Therapist - Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with school staff and Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams to develop individualized treatment plans and goals for students
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities (not applicable to Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant)
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, addressing areas such as sensory integration, fine motor skills, visual-motor coordination, and self-care
• Adapt classroom environments, materials, and equipment to promote accessibility and facilitate student participation
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other professionals involved in the students’ care
• Document student progress, treatment plans, and other relevant information according to agency and school guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of appropriate goals and accommodations for students
• Stay up to date on current research, evidence based practices, and relevant policies in school-based occupational therapy

License/Certification:

• State of Nevada OT License (Required)
• Nevada Fingerprint Clearance Card (Required)
• Pediatric experience preferred (fieldwork experience is acceptable)
