Job summary

PediaStaff is seeking a School Occupational Therapist (OT) to work in the Leonardtown, MD area. This full-time position involves providing school-based OT services to students, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm, and a caseload of about 50 students.

Compensation includes benefits and a per-hour rate up to $60. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and staff to support students’ academic and developmental needs, with direct patient care in a school setting and ongoing

Qualifications

• Experience with children, especially school settings preferred.
• Maryland OT licensure required.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify needs and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver targeted OT interventions in line with IEPs to support academic, social, and physical goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments.
• Contribute to IEP development by providing insights on motor development and sensory needs.

Qualifications:

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
• Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
