Job summary

PediaStaff is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to provide OT services to students in Aurora, IL, aligning with IEP requirements. You will assess developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs and document progress.

Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, speech therapists and other staff, maintain accurate logs, and support students with ASD, ED, BD, OHI, and TBI; housing allowance and per diem may apply.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Occupational Therapy License.
• NBCOT certification required.
• Experience with special education students preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers and other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students according to IEP requirements.
• Assess students' developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs.
• Develop and update IEP goals and progress reports for assigned students.
• Maintain accurate service logs and documentation to ensure compliance.
• Provide educational guidance and support to students during periods of confusion, frustration, or emotional distress.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, psychologists, speech therapists, social workers, and other related service providers.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP meetings.
• Support students with disabilities including ASD, ED, BD, OHI, and TBI.
