Job summary

Select Medical in DeMotte, IN is seeking an Occupational Therapist for outpatient hand/upper-extremity care. The role includes mentoring potential, a Monday–Friday schedule, and a base salary starting at $75,000 with experience-based increases.

You will join a team dedicated to returning patients to athletics, work, and life, with strong emphasis on evidence-based practice. New grads are welcome; fieldwork level 2 is considered for students.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy (OT).
• Outpatient orthopedic fieldwork level 2 if a student.
• Outpatient upper extremity experience in the last 5 years if practicing clinician.
• State OT license or license eligible.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Stay current with OT research and employ evidence-based practice.
• Build relationships with referral sources and centers while maintaining patient interactions.
• Collaborate with the referring physician to set goals and determine OT treatment frequency and duration.
• Understand state Practice Act and supervision requirements for OT practice.
• Design and implement new programs or procedures with manager approval and HIPAA compliance.
• Lead and delegate OT care within state and federal regulations and ensure timely documentation.

Schedule:Monday-Friday (no weekends)

Salary: Starting at $75,000 annual base commensurate with experience

Our outpatient orthopedic team is seeking an occupational therapist to join us in providing quality patient care.

This role will treat outpatient orthopedic upper extremity case load. We will consider fieldwork level 2 in traditional outpatinet hand therapy if current student.

Responsibilities

• Best Practices: Stay current and up to date with Occupational Therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).
• Build Relationships: Enhance, develop and expand relationships with referral sources and maintain a positive level of interaction with centers and patients.
• Collaborative Approach: Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.
• High Standard of Care: Understand appropriate state Practice Act and adhere to the laws that govern how OTs may practice and whom they may supervise.
• Innovative Opportunities: Participate in the design and implementation of new programs or procedures with the approval of the manager and referring physicians per HIPPA guidelines.
• Leadership: Supervise and delegate occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations.
• Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs and demonstrate completion of patient care responsibilities and documentation requirements in an appropriate and timely manner.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school for occupational therapy
• Outpatient orthopedic fieldwork level 2 if current student
