Qualifications

  • Certified Hand Therapist or Certified Lymphedema Therapist is beneficial but not required.
  • Trained in Dry needling or willing to be trained.
  • Skilled in pediatric developmental and behavioral treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Evaluation/Treatment sessions with patients.
  • Conducting Free Consultations.
  • Ensure patients are educated and aware of their condition.
  • Keep patients accountable for therapy attendance and compliance with plan of care
  • Complete all required documentation of each visit
  • Update plan of care as needed and discharge patients
  • Supervise COTA's and Therapy Technicians
  • Record patient successes and maintain productivity lists
  • Assist in Marketing efforts as requested by Marketing department
  • Keep track of individual stats and complete productivity reports

They work closely with the physical therapy departments in those communities and see the bulk of the upper extremity patients. They also treat pediatric, neuro, and other diagnoses. There are many opportunities to grow this department based on the training and willingness to train in new areas, such as hand therapy, Lymphoedema, Parkinson's (LSVT BIG/LOUD), Women's health, and Pediatrics. The sky is the limit for the driven self-motivated therapist with a desire to grow and learn.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

  • Updating plan of care as needed and discharging patients as needed

  • Listening to and recording patient successes
  • Keeping Case management lists up to date.
  • Assisting in Marketing efforts as requested by the Marketing department
  • Keeping track of individual stats and completing productivity reports
